LBK is a cozy spot for pizza on Union Street where Park Slope meets Gowanus. It’s also a place where you will find lots of interesting pies prepared in a wood-fired oven. We tried the Golosa topped with fresh mozzarella, ricotta, sausage and black olives, which is excellent. Other pies include the Diavola with mozzarella, tomato sauce and spicy salame; the Ortolana with oven-roasted eggplant, zucchini and mushrooms; and the Quattro Formaggi with mozzarella, ricotta, parmigiano and gorgonzola. Aside from pizza, look for classic appetizers like crispy cheese arancini, fried calamari and meatballs in tomato sauce. Dine in or grab a table outside when the weather permits. We found the service to be super friendly.
