Churros are Spain's answer to the doughnut; long deep-fried pastries dusted with cinnamon sugar. La Churreria claims to be New York's first authentic churro centric bakery. It's also serving Spanish snacks and sandwiches.

Cititour Review:

Who doesn't like churros.  This fried Spanish treat is dusted with cinnamon sugar or dipped in melted chocolate.  At La Churreria, run by the same folks who operate Socarrat Paella Bar, these treats are exceptionally good, slightly thinner than what you might expect as they arrive straight from the fryer with a delicious crunch, which makes eating just one a very difficult task.  I was hoping to get my waxpaper pouch filled with six of them home to share, but wound up devouring them in a matter of minutes.  They are truly addictive.

If you want to go all out, get your churros accompanied by a chocolate dipping sauce in flavors like hazelnut, spicy aztec or dark chocolate.  They also come stuffed with fillings like chantilly cream and seasonal fruit compotes.

Aside from churros you will also find toasted bikini sandwiches and bocatas that you can eat in at this sliver of a restaurant.  Bocatas, which are served on baguettes, come in several varieties, including grilled chicken with crispy onions and fried calamari with a pimento sauce.
