Restaurateur Jon Neidich (Acme, The Happiest Hour) is adding some French flair to New York City’s dining scene with Le Crocodile at Williamsburg’s Wythe Hotel. Joining him on the journey are chefs Jake Leiber and Aidan O'Neal, formerly of Greenpoint bistro Chez Ma Tante. The restaurant, featuring exposed brick, soaring windows and burgundy leather booths, is inspired by the trio’s favorite haunts in Paris and New York. Grab a seat at the lengthy marble bar for drinks and hors d'oeuvres, such as Oeufs Mayonnaise Chaud with Trout Roe, Parisian Sausage, Country Pâté and Rabbit & Duck Rillette. Diners will also find brasserie favorites like Escargots with Parsley and Pernod, Sardinian Pasta with Tomato & Cod, Grilled Chicken & Fries, and Steak Frite au Poivre cooked in an enormous, custom-built oven which serves as the centerpiece of the kitchen. Finish the meal with quintessential French desserts including profiteroles with chocolate sauce, crème brûlée and chocolate pots de crème.
