A bit of Paris arrives in New York City as Le District opens at Brookfield Place. Think sophisticated French market where you can shop for everything from imported French cheeses and condiments to cured meats and sausages. Rotisserie chicken, baked breads and fresh seafood are also being offered. There's a butcher station for different cuts of meat, along with fresh cut flowers at le Fleuriste. Had your fill of shopping? Take a break at Bar du Marche where more than a dozen French wines are being offered by the glass along with fresh oysters. Wines are also available by the bottle. Want something a bit more formal? Beaubourg, a sleek new restaurant, is offering classic French dishes like steak frites, escargots and frog legs. The restaurant is dark and sexy making it the perfect spot for a romantic getaway. It's also providing stunning river views. Cap it all off with dessert either at the restaurant or the patisserie in the front of the market which also has a crepe station.
