Cititour Review:
Links is a sausage lovers paradise. There are long ones, short ones and fat ones. There are traditional ones like Kielbasa topped with Russian mustard on black bread, beer-braised bratwurst on a pretzel roll with caraway kraut, and beef franks served naked on a potato roll (toppings like coleslaw, relish and caramelized onions awill cost you 50 cents extra). And then there are the not so normal varieties; a shrimp and scallop sausage with a cherry tomato relish, while another version offers andouille topped with a fennel apple relish and truffle mayo, or go veggy-style with eggplant and fennel.
I couldn't leave with trying at least one, settling on the Merguez, a spicy lamb sausage topped with a crunchy rough cut slaw, celery root remoulade and harissa on a toasted baguette. The flavors are rich and inviting, the perfect companion to an ice cold pilsner. Aside from beer, wine and sparkling cider is offered.
As for the space itself. It is long and narrow with lots of wood and exposed brick. There are several sharing tables along with some counter space. Big screen TVs give the place a bit of a sports bar feel. Links is perfect spot for a quick bite or a late night snack. It's open until 2am.
