Luthun means "something new and unexpected" in Bengali. And that is exactly what you will find at this East Village restaurant. Chefs Nahid Ahmed and Ajuna Bull are sharing their love for modern global cuisine with vibrant, modern creations. Look for dishes like Tomato with rose, rhubarb and onion, Monkfish with green curry, jackfruit and okra, and Squid with Amazonian Chile. And then there are these little orbs called Fushka filled with sprouts tamarind and ginger. The space at Luthun boasts lots of exposed brick, wooden beams and an L-shaped counter looking onto an open kitchen where you can catch the chefs in action.
