MIFUNE New York is the distinguished Japanese restaurant featuring refined Washoku cuisine in Midtown Manhattan, that just celebrated its two-year anniversary. In honor of this milestone, Executive Chefs Yuu Shimano (Guy Savoy’s eponymous three Michelin-starred restaurant in Paris) and Tomohiro Urata (three Michelin-starred Maison Troisgros in Roanne, France) have plated up two new tasting menus for the summer. The summer anniversary menus feature new dishes such as the succulent Alaskan King Crab with a light and airy Bleu Cheese espuma; Chilled Sugar Snap and Clam Flan, an elegant and refined savory dish that melts in your mouth; a juicy New England Lobster with summer vegetables; a bold and punchy Black Cherry Gazpacho and a very unique whole Japanese Ayu or sweetfish, served with a crème de mushroom for an effortless complement to the undeniably flaky and tender fish. The menus can be accompanied by select sake and wine pairings or one of their signature cocktails crafted by mixologist Shingo Gokan, the winner of the 2017 Tales of the Cocktail International Bartender of the Year Award.
