Let them eat cake! And more cake! Now that Magnolia Bakery has set up shop in a stylish townhouse at Rockefeller Center there is good reason for native New Yorkers to battle it out with tourists. Cupcakes!
Yes, the lines are already starting to form. And with good reason. In true Magnolia fashion everything is fabulous. From the wickedly delicious pumpkin cupcakes with cream cheese icing and toasted pecans to the Devil's Food cupcakes with a rich chocolate buttercream that are a real treat for kids and adults. Or, you might want to try a yellow cake variety with whimiscal toppings in pale shades of green, pink and blue, and decorated with confetti and candy flowers. They are as beautiful to look at as they are to eat.
Whole cakes are also available ranging from Red Velvet to German Chocolate, and a traditional Coconut Layer cake with a meringue frosting. Prices range from $24 for a six-inch to $48 for a 9" triple layer cake.
Now, let's just keep this our little secret.
