MakiMaki is hoping to change the Midtown lunch game with made-to-order sushi rolls. Kevin Takarada's love of sushi led him to open the restaurant on 6th Avenue near 55th Street. His family owns Tony's Sushi Bar in South Beach and let's just say sushi runs through his veins. Look for maki rolls like Spicy Tuna, Avocado and Negi-Hamachi to Shrimp Tempura, Snow Crab and Spicy Lobster. MakiMaki is also offering custom tea blends from Hon Yama, an 800-year-old company that once supplied teas to the shoguns of Japan. Look for the octopus on the wall. See more
