Details: Marcello Assante was born and raised in Naples, Italy. His passion for cooking comes from his mother. Now he’s bringing that passion to Marcellino in Little Italy, a new red sauce spot turning out traditional Italian dishes and wood-fired pizzas. Look for red checkered tablecloths, vintage Murano venetian glass chandeliers and wood paneling on the walls. There's also an outdoor patio for dining al fresco. Appetizers range from fried calamari and eggplant parmigiana to grandma’s meatballs. Larger plates include Chicken Marsala and house-made pastas like Fettuccine Alfredo, Burrata Ravioli with truffle cream, and Pappardelle with Lamb Ragu. Italian wines, some with bubbles, are also offered along with signature cocktails like the Aperol Spritz (Aperol, Blanc Vermouth, Orange Bitters, Soda) and Amalfi Coast (Rum, Amaro Montenegro, Cocchi Rosa, Tiki Bitters). Now that’s Italian. >> Neighborhood: Little Italy Latest Cititour News
