James Beard award-winning Chef Missy Robbins has opened Misi, an Italian fine dining restaurant across from Domino Park in Williamburg. Simple yet sophisticated, Misi offers an assortment of antipasti, including Grilled Baby Artichokes with mint salsa verde, Charred Marinated Peppers with marjoram and whipped ricotta crostinis, and Whole Roasted Eggplant with Calabrian chili, lemon and olive oil. The real emphasis, however, is on pasta. Think Fettuccini with Buffalo Butter, Corzetti with sungold cherry tomatoes and garlic, and Malloreddus with clams, sea beans and safron. Built into the restaurant is pasta-making station right off the main dining room. To go along with all of that pasta - wine. Misi boasts a 60-bottle wine list with an emphasis on Italian wines and champagnes. Chef Robbins' love of pasta has earned her accolades at her restaurant, Lilia, in North Williamsburg and three stars from the New York Times.
