Chef David Chang's Momofuku Ko has undergone a major transformation that includes a new bar space. Eight seats now face an open kitchen with 15 more table seats available. Guided by Japanese kaiseki tradition, Ko offers a multi-course tasting menu as well as an evolving a la carte selection of dishes at the bar which are provided on a first come, first serve basis. Look for bar offerings like Firefly Squid, Spot Prawn Crudo, Duck Pie and Dry Aged Striploin. Menu items change on a daily basis. Diners will also find a lengthy wine list with a global reach. Many are rarely poured by the glass. Ko says the bar is meant to serve as a place to linger before or after a tasting, or with no tasting at all.
