Josh Bowen's Mothership Meat Company is the motherload of barbecue in Long Island City.  Bowen, who also owns John Brown's Smokehouse, is cooking up Texas-style barbecue, everything from ribs and brisket to house-made sausages and whole hogs. The restaurant also has a nice yard with gazebo for dining al fresco when the weather permits. Bowen also made headlines recently when he battled to keep Amazon in LIC.
