Details:

Mr Bing is paying tribute to the northern Chinese crepe called the "jianbing" or just "bing" for short.  Founder Brian Goldberg discovered bings while studying in China and wanted to let America in on the secret.   Although legend has it that the bing was actually invented nearly 2,000 years ago.  Now, Mr Bing can be found inside the Urbanspace Vanderbilt food hall where you can watch them being made on the spot.  We tried the Roast Duck Bing which begins with a rice flour crepe, egg, hoisin sauce, chili paste, crunchy wontons and lots of roasted duck.  It's topped with scallions and black & white sesame seeds.  It makes for a wonderful meal.  Bings also come with BBQ pork, drunken chicken (in a Shaoxing sauce) and a classic vegetarian version.   It's Chinese street food worth seeking out!
