Details:

Set inside a mansion on St. Marks Place, Mr White is inspired by the foods of the French Quarter in New Orleans, in particular, char-grilled oysters. It's the dream project of Jeffrey White and Kelly Rheel, who previously owned a restaurant in Williamsburg, and Chef Andrew Dunleavy, formerly of the Clam and Chowder House in Montaulk, NY. Aside from grilled oysters, there is a raw bar and small plates that include Bourbon Chicken Liver Pate and Pork Belly with black-eyed pea hummus. Entrees range from Smoked Duckling with shaved brussels sprouts with golden raisings & cornbread stuffing to Prawns & Grits with stewed tomatoes and serrano peppers. They are also serving up a Crawfish Po' Boy. Drinks include an assortment of draft beers from across the South and cocktails with names like The Hornet's Nest and Cajun Michelada.
