Cititour Review:

It's summertime and the perfect time to be diving into some fresh seafood.   A new spot in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn is serving up lots of it along with icy cold pints that won't bust your budget.

Run by a CPA-turned-restaurateur, Mussels & More is done up quite well.  There is a handsome wooden bar and large sharing table up front, along with more seating and an open air kitchen in the back.  Large French doors open onto the street for dining al fresco.

The mussels are served steaming hot in a large pots with a variety of sauces ranging from spicy to a traditional garlic and wine.  We settled on the latter with no complaints.  The mussels were nice and plump and the sauce perfect for dipping some bread into.  Beer battered fried jumbo shrimp are also worth seeking out, along with the crispy-on-the-outside, juicy-on-the-inside fried oysters.  The oysters alone are worth a return visit.

But along with the hits come some misses, like a grilled tuna steak that was overcooked and couldn't be saved by its tasty marinade.  And calamari, quite good one night, but rubbery on another visit.

But despite any kinks that need to be worked out, Mussels & More still has lots of  potential and is a great spot for large groups hankering for a nice seafood dinner.
