Details:
Sometimes it's nice to treat yourself to a fine piece of chocolate. Belgian chocolatier Neuhaus has been doing it since 1857. Its tiny shop on Lexington is filled with all sorts of goodies. There are chocolate covered cherries with a liquor center (watch for the pit), butter crunch truffles and tiny cones filled with whipped hazelnut chocolate. There are raspberry bon bons, candied orange peel dipped in dark chocolate and chocolate ganache sprinkled with lavender petals. A box can cost upwards of eighty dollar, or buy a few pieces for around two dollars a pop. It's money well spent.
