Omakasa is a fast-casual spot in SoHo with Asian influences. I’m not a huge fan of veggie burgers, but Omakasa’s “Impossible” Burger is an exception. The crispy plant-based patty arrives on a bao bun with sliced pickles and a tangy sauce. You really won’t miss the meat. There are some chicken and seafood offerings, but for the most part you are looking at a menu full of salads, grains and noodles that are either vegan, vegetarian or gluten free. The space is large and laid back. Order at the counter (credit cards only), find a seat and the food will come to you. Beer and wine are also available along with a nice assortment of sake and sake-based cocktails. Service is very friendly.
