Started as a successful pop-up serving affordable 5-course meals, Oxalis now has a permanent home in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. Chef Nico Russell (formerly of Daniel and Mirazur in France) is leading the kitchen with a vegetable forward menu. The meal begins with small snacks, such as Young Carrots and Chamomile, and Potato, Bay Leaf, Nori, and goes into dishes like Squash, Burrata, Flaxseed, Savory; Sunchoke, Walnut, Mushroom, Comté; Cod, Roasted Potato, Sorrel; Duck, Sweet Potato, Fig, Yogurt; and Goat Milk, Honey, Thyme. The rotating menu is paired with seasonal cocktails. A bar room menu is also available. The restaurant features an intimate dining space and enclosed backyard patio with a wood-framed gazebo and skylight. See more
