Details:

Chef Tom Valenti, who got his start in the restaurants of Paris with later stints at Gotham Bar & Grill, ‘Cesca and at Le Cirque, is the force behind Oxbow Tavern, a neighborhood spot on the Upper West Side. At Oxbow, look for dishes like Chicken Liver Mousse, Oyster Chowder with double smoked bacon, and Steak Tartare with capers and shallots. Entrees include Wild Canadian Mussels in a fennel-tomato-saffron broth, Coq Au Vin made with organic braised chicken, and Grilled Hanger Steak with a green peppercorn sauce. An assortment of grilled fish and meats, including quail and Australian rack of lamb, are also offered along with dinner sandwiches like the Croque Monsieur and a Tavern Burger.
