Cititour Review:

I was craving banana cream pie and I just happen to be walking by a pastry shop, so I decided to go in for a slice.  Once inside I realized that I had just walked into what I believe is one of the best pastry shops in the city... Rocco's on Bleecker.

There were cases and cases of delectable desserts.  I noticed they had the pie I wanted, but I was so distracted by the other options teasing my taste buds, that I decided I needed more time to think.  Did I want that huge piece of banana cream pie starring me in the face, or did I crave the red velvet cake?  Maybe I was in the mood for some piña colada gelato, cheesecake, or that heaping portion of tiramisu.  The choices were endless and I couldn't decide.  Then I realized I didn't have to.  Rocco's makes mini portions of many of the desserts they sell.

So, after much contemplation I opted for three; a mini raspberry mascarpone, a mini tiramisu, and one very huge chocolate cookie.  The man behind the counter even threw a couple smaller cookies into my bag for free!  I wanted to sit down at one of the tables and eat my treats, but the place was packed.  So I happily took my desserts and strolled on down the street knowing one thing for sure…  I would definitely be back, perhaps for that banana cream pie.
