This fine French bistro can be found on Smith Street in Brooklyn.Review By: Benny Prim
Inside you'll be met with exposed brick, a wood burning fireplace, lots of candles and some of the best French cooking outside Manhattan. While the menu may be limited, the flavors are full and rich. For starters, a delicious bacon tart served with broccoli and chopped apple in a vinaigrette sauce, and a fresh organic salad topped with goat cheese and red grapes. The steak frites, cooked in a garlic sauce, was among the best I've ever had. The beef bourguignon also won raves.
Patois also boasts an outdoor garden and a friendly, helpful staff. Dinner for two with a nice glass of wine cost $65. Major credit cards accepted.
