Sicilian-born chef and restaurateur Philip Guardione now has four restaurants in New York with the addiition of Piccola Cucina Estiatorio in SoHo. This seafood-centric restaurant be highlighting the flavors of Italy and Greece with fresh fish imported daily from Sicily. Daily selections will include Bronzino, Snapper, Dorado, Swordfish an Bluefin Tuna, among others. Diners can expect to find Mediterranean dishes like Tuna Tartare and Mazara Prawns with spritz grantita, as well as Wild Boar Meatballs, Spaghetti with Sea Urchin, and Gnocchetti with shrimp and porcini. The restaurant itself is made to feel like European taverna with distressed wood, warm brick accents and floor-to-ceiling windows.
