Both born in Argentina, a country where Italian immigrants formed the backbone of its society and culture; where bolognese is almost as prevalent as carne asada and where Italian neighbors tell stories to the point where you feel like you have lived in Italy, Chef Andres Rodas and partner Andres Whang teamed up to bring simple yet savory food to a cozy and comfortable dining space. They met at store in New York that chef Rodas used to run and Andres W. fell in love with the unique flavors, quality and freshness of the ingredients. This was the beginning of a new friendship and led to a flourishing partnership starting with the opening of Piccoli Trattoria. With 20 + years in the restaurant business, working at fine establishments such as Cipriani and Bice, Chef Rodas knows how to give excellent service and realizes that good food starts with the freshest ingredients combining them with simple yet flavorful ways that takes you back to the the table at grandma's house.
