Cititour Review:
Pizza joints can be found all over New York City, and each one has its proponents. Pintaile's, however, is the favorite of Upper East Side teenagers who frequent the public schools in this neighborhood.

Its pizza is quite different from other slices that can be picked up at takeout joints in the area. Pintaile's is famous for their whole wheat crust, which really is cracker-thin. They offer a variety of toppings, each of which is the freshest you'll ever find—mushroom, vegetable, cheese or typical Italian meats and sausage—and layered on thin with just a smear of sauce. At first glance, the slices might seem to pale in comparison to the giant wedges you can buy elsewhere, but the flavor of these slices—due in large part to the mix of cheeses they use—makes the smaller size (and slightly bigger price) worth it.
