Planet Taco in the East Village is hoping to reach a new dimension with taco combinations that are out of this world.  For instance, the Mars "Vegetarian Chorizo" Taco sits atop a red tortilla topped with red quinoa, while the Saturn arrives on a yellow tortilla with grilled nopales, portobello, watermelon and crispy onions. 

Closer to earth, the Cuba features slow-cooked pulled pork with sliced orange and chipotle cream, while Japan includes shrimp tempura, pickled daikon, fried cellophane noodles with a miso slaw.  Also on the menu is the Quesabirria with braised beef, Monterey Jack served with beef consommé on the side.  Planet taco offers a number of unique flavor combinations and just as many sauces.  Cafe-style dining is available outside. Service is helpful and friendly.
