Details: Pomona, named after the Roman goddess of abundance (whose statue is located across the street), is now serving American fare in the Midtown space that once housed Beautique. Chef Michael Vignola's innovative menu includes a Black Truffle Chicken Dog served on a brioche bun, Mexican White Shrimp Cocktail with holy Schmidt's horseradish, and a Duo of Roasted Deviled Ribeye for sharing. We tried the house Duck Burger which is decadent; a rich duck patty with hints of citrus from grapefruit jam arrives with a heaping helping of crispy herbed fries. Cocktails include the Pomonade, a high-octane lemonade fueled with vodka. Pomona has a loungy feel, and while upscale, the staff is actually quite friendly and down to earth.
