Pranna, which literally means “breath of life,” will serve a new standard of ingredient-inspired, chef-driven modern Asian cuisine in an awe-inspiring venue which offers the best dining experiences along with unique resource that make it a perfect venue for a wide-variety of events. The menu at Pranna includes sour soup with shrimp filled Napa cabbage rolls and Thai tube tofu ($11), Hoi An peanut rice flats with crispy tofu strings and soy lime glaze ($9), and a chef’s selection of satays from the grill with dipping sauces like salty kaffir lime, spicy peanut and sweet lemongrass caramel ($30, to share) to start. Executive Chef Chai Trivedi’s entrees include wok-seared Mayan prawns with saffron, mango and leek risotto and Makhini sauce ($26), cumin-crusted hanger steak with sprouted mong salad, candlenut and guajillo and winter berry compote ($27), crispy whole market fish with Choochee curry and a pomelo watercress salad ($M/P), and San Luan fried chicken, with crispy bitter melon, and cashew raisin sauté ($24). The beverage program at Pranna is run by writer Alice Feiring, who has chosen wines from environmentally responsible vineyards and boutique producers, while signature cocktails were developed by mixologists Willy Shine, Aisha Sharpe and Kristopher Carr. Their list includes fruit-forward drinks like the Harvest Moon—hibiscus and pomegranate-infused Maker’s Mark bourbon with fresh lemon and apple juice, the Ko Tao Sunset—Cape North vodka with fresh lemon juice, honey and Pom Wonderful, and the Tamarindo—Cruzan single barrel estate rum with mint, fresh lime juice, tamarind puree and sparkling water ($12 each).
