First it was gelato, then tiramisu, now a place dedicated solely to pudding. Or in this case Puddin' by Clio. It comes in traditional flavors like chocolate, vanilla and butterscotch before veering off into coffee, lemon and coconut. Prices range in price from $3 for a mini to $8.50 for a large, a bit more for Clio's "signature" puddings. And then there are the toppings like salted caramel, hot fudge, brownie bits and marshmallow creme.
We sampled three of the signature puddings; the Classic with chocolate and butterscotch served parfait style with a layer of whipped cream. We added some old fashioned peanut brittle to give it added crunch. What a delicious treat. We also tried the Banana Cream Dream. It's made with a layer of graham cracker crumbs and tasted like a banana cream pie in a cup. It was my personal favorite. Our third choice was a wonderful rice pudding made with Vietnamese cinnamon.
Puddin' is also serving up freshly-baked cakes and pies by the slice or whole, along with cookies and brownies. It truly is a sweet sensation!
