R&D Foods in Prospect Heights is a popular spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast brings a fried egg sandwich with cheddar, wilted kale and bacon on a Portuguese muffin. Think Egg McMuffin on steroids. Other offerings include pulled chicken with pickled onions and house made BBQ sauce on an onion roll, and pastrami on rye with horseradish sauce, cole slaw and Russian dressing.  Prepared foods range from roasted Lancaster chicken to turkey meatloaf and tofu salad. Farm-fresh eggs, meats and cheeses are also available. R&D also sells large platters and picnic baskets if you're heading to nearby Prospect Park or Brooklyn Botanical Garden. Just be sure to order ahead.
