South Philly's Southern-style fried chicken haven, Redcrest Fried Chicken, now has its first perch in New York City at The Starliner bar in Bushwick. Redcrest’s chef and founder, Adam Volk, is preparing his crispy, fried chicken recipes that he spent years developing. The menu includes fried chicken served with a "legendary" buttermilk biscuit, sandwiches, boneless chicken, homemade sides and sauces, as well as, a variety of homemade teas and lemonades, and ‘sweet stuff’ for dessert. Dine-in guests must enter through The Starliner to get to the semi-hidden restaurant located in a storefront behind the bar serving chicken counter-style. There's also patio dining when the weather permits. The restaurant is open daily from 4pm to 2am. Just look for the "fried chicken" neon sign. >>
