A fresh taste of India arrives in the Theatre District at Saar. Chef Hemant Mathur, who is no stranger to New York’s dining scene, opening the Indian bistro on 51st Street in Midtown. Mathur, who’s been nicknamed the Indian Danny Meyer, earned a Michelin star at his now-shuttered restaurant, Devi, in Flatiron. The space features a large bar and ample seating for guests. A mural that takes up an entire wall depicts an Indian garden with red flowers.
