Sammy's Halal in the East Village offers an assortment of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean dishes. While there is some seating available up front, this is mainly a takeout affair. On the menu look for things like lamb & beef shawarma, falafel and rotisserrie chicken served with rice. Appetizers include assorted dips like baba ghanoush and hummus, along with kati rolls and vegetable samosas. Food here is flavorful and prices are reasonable.
