Shelsky's, a popular purveyor of smoked fish in Cobble Hill, now has a bagel spot in Park Slope. Shelsky's Brooklyn Bagels, located on 4th Avenue and tenth street, is offering an assortment of chewy, hand-crafted bagel and bialys. Signature sandwiches include Member of the Tribe with Nova Scotia smoked salmon and scallion cream cheese; The Great Gatsby with pastrami smoked salmon, horseradish cream cheese, honey mustard, red onion on caraway-seeded rye; and The Newhouse (seen here) with wild Alaskan sable, scallion cream cheese, tomato, on a whole wheat sesame bagel. It's as as good as it looks. You can also pick from an assortment of "schmears" and classic deli sandwiches, including hot pastrami, corned beef and roasted turkey. Everything is prepared in the traditions of a classic Jewish deli.
