Smorg Square is an open air food court in the oddest of places. Located in a lot, surrounded by bumper-to-bumper traffic heading to the Holland Tunnel, it offers a true respite from the city's daily grind. Smorg Square offers a full bar complete with cocktails, beers from boutique brewers and wine. There a number of food vendors, but not as many as Smorgasburg, worth seeking out. They include Goa Tacos, Red Hook Lobster Pound, Big Mozz (mozzarella sticks), John's Juice, Duck Season, Bona Bona Ice Cream and Fedoroff's South Philly Cheesesteaks. Fedoroff's uses Pat Lafrieda beef, fried onions and whiz. It's up there with the best cheesesteaks we've tasted. It's a nice size sandwich for ten bucks. Just be sure to bring cash. Once you've had your fill of food and drink head across then street to the Brooklyn Flea.
