The cargo container known as the Snack Box is now open for businesses Times Square. The kiosk is serving up iconic NYC/American street food. There are hot dogs, shakes, pretzels and baked goods, including gourmet doughnuts from Doughnut Plant. Prices are reasonable. A smoky all-beef hot dog with a perfect snap sells for $3.50. Add a-buck-25 if you want it topped with chili. You'll also find six types of milkshakes, perfect for kids, and cheese covered pretzels that rise above traditional vendor fare. You will also find gourmet coffee and espresso perfect for sipping at one of the cafe tables in the nearby pedestrian plaza. Snack Box is owned and operated by Jonathan Morr of Republic and BONDST. You'll find it near 47th Street and Broadway right next door to the TKTS discount booth. - Thomas Rafael
