An all-American diner with a five-and-dime feel. That is how SoHo Diner describes itself, mixing an all-day menu with classic cocktails. Chef Ken Addington's "unfussy" menu features dishes like Smashed Avocado Toast with green onions and shaved radish; Malted Waffles with whipped butter and maple syrup; and Burrata Filled Blintzes with warm blueberry and preserved lemon syrup. Several soups are offered including Soho’s Famous Matzo Ball Soup and Roasted Tomato. Snacks range from Disco Fries with raclette and chicken sausage gravy to Mean Green Chicken Wings. Other offerings include an Iceberg Wedge topped with blue cheese and crispy bacon; Montauk Tuna Melt made with 6 oz. grilled tuna steak & aged cheddar; Fried Chicken with iceberg slaw; and the Stinky Cheeseburger with dry-aged beef, Epoisses cheese, chopped pickle, and raw onion on a potato bun. New twists on classic cocktails include the Buck (gin, lemon, ginger, and elderflower tonic), Daisy (mezcal, apologue persimmon, grenadine, lime, and cardamom bitters), and Highball (Japanese whiskey, sherry, root beer extract and seltzer). Natural wines and restorative, non-alcoholoic beverages are also available. As for the space, look for custom walnut booths with Formica tabletops, breakfast counter, open kitchen and a coin-operated Crosley jukebox. The SoHo Diner is open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
