Tavola Della Nonna, which means grandmother's table, is bringing the foods of Italy to the Upper West Side. The are assorted pizzas - Magherita, Napoletana, Pepperoni, Bianca and more - or create your own pie from assorted toppings. Appetizers include crispy calamari, arancini and Nonna's meatballs. More than a half dozen different pastas are offered including Shrimp Fra Diavolo with tagliatelle and Cacio E Pepe with bucatini. Larger plates include Italian classics like Eggplant and Chicken Parmigiana. There is Branzino with marinated artichokes and sundried tomato; Swordfish with olive tapenade; a 16 oz Veal Chop Milanese with shaved parmigiana reggiano; and Filet Mignon with tomato confit, roasted shallot and garlic. While the wine list leans Italian, there are also choices from the U.S. and France, including organic, biodynamic, sustainable and Kosher varieties.
