Tempo Presto is an off-shoot of Tempo, a popular Mediterranean spot in Park Slope. It is here where you can get a taste of chef Michael Fiore's cooking even if you're not looking for an entire meal. At Tempo Presto you'll find hot and cold sandwiches, salads, snacks and treats.Review By: Sam Sayegh
Sandwich combinations include grilled portobello & sun-dried tomato, goat cheese and arugula on a baguette ($5.95), or something they call "Thanksgiving Day," roasted turkey, pecan bread stuffing with cranberry sauce and mayo ($7.25), and then there's the "Presto Presley," peanut butter, banana and honey served on a grilled pullman ($4.95).
I went for the dry-rubbed roast beef, a healhy portion of tender roast beef, topped with cheddar, grilled Bermuda onions and Tempo's own steak sauce served on a baguette. Think high-octane Philly cheese steak. It was delicious, although it could have been a bit warmer.
Tempo Presto also sells home-made gelati and sorbetti. Their version of rocky road comes fully loaded and is guaranteed to satisfy any sweet tooth.
