Tenho Ramen is the latest Japanese import to hit New York City. Located on a sunny corner in Murray Hill, Tenho is known for its classic Tonkotsu Ramen as well as skewers and small plates. Many of the skewers come wrapped in pork belly or bacon. Who can pass that up? We tried the bacon-wrapped potato with butter which was decadent and delicious. The Sukiyaki skewer involves beef stuffed with enoki mushroom, crown daisy and scallions. Very interesting. There's also an assortment of beef skewers including Washugyu skirt, ribeye and short rib. Other smalll plates include Karaage Fried Chicken, Chashu Pork, and Teppan Mountain Yam cooked on an iron griddle. But most people will be coming for the ramen served in a rich and decadent broth. Seven different types are offered including a spicy tomato version. The signature Tenho Ramen, served Kurume style, comes with tonkotsu broth, chashu pork, wood ear mushroom, scallion, toasted seaweed and soft boiled egg. It is good to the last drop!  Happy slurping. >>
