Heloise may live at the Plaza, but she'd love Sunday Brunch at the St.Regis. The Parisian-style hotel in the grand manner has what you'd expect:lavish floral arrangements, massive chandeliers and yards of marble. But the Astor Court dining room has something even more appealing:warm, helpful service. As for the food, the scrambled eggs with artichoke and potato hash is first-rate. With an opener of just okay crab cakes, a huge orange juice and a pot of coffee, the tab for two with tip came to $106. Hefty, yes. But the portions kept two people happy for the rest of the day and well into the evening. The Astor Court is especially lovely for a birthday brunch or a special date.
