For Cajun cooking on the Lower East Side, try The Boil. Shrimps, crabs, lobster and crawfish are all sold by the pound with a variety of different sauces at varying degrees of heat (including "fire"). Diners don plastic gloves and bibs as they dig into bags of the crustaceans, in this case, crawfish smothered in garlic and butter. It's messy, but somebody's got to do it. Order the equally buttery corn on the cob for the full effect. Other offerings include Dungeness Crab, King Crab and Snow Crab legs. You can also mix and match. Appetizers include things like Catfish Sliders, Soft Shell Crabs and Lobster Rolls. The Boil also has a full bar with a large selection of beers on tap or by the bottle. Dig in!
