There is something sexy about a French Dip, plunging a sandwich with crusty bread into a bowl of steamy goodness. At The Dip on St Marks Place in the East Village it comes pretty darn close to perfection. Shaved beef with horseradish, gruyere cheese, and cherry peppers served on garlic bread with a bowl of steamy au jus for dipping. One bite and you are sold. The French Dip sandwich is large enough for two to share, but you might want one for your own. Diners will also find a buttermilk Fried chicken sandwich, BLT made with thick-cut bacon, and a grilled cheese served on Texas toast. French onion soup, Caesar salad and cole slaw are also counted among the sides. Service is friendly whether you are looking to eat in or on the go!
