Details:

The Flying Fisherman is everything you'd want in a seafood restaurant. Think crab cakes and charred octopus, a lobster roll, BBQ prawns and rock shrimp pasta. The raw bar features oysters and clams along with Peruvian fluke ceviche. For landlubbers, there is herb-crusted chicken and sirloin steak frites. At the bar, look for specialty cocktails like the Stormy Rita made with tequila, mezcal, passion fruit and jalapeno. Draft beers, like Coney Island's Mermaid Beer, are available along with a reasonably-priced wine list. The space is well designed with lots of window seating, towering columns, and colorful fish mobiles that give the impression of schools of fish dangling mid-air. And judging by the crowds we saw on a Friday night it looks like folks are flying in to The Flying Fisherman on the Upper West Side.
