As part of the Essex Crossing project on the Lower East Side, The Market Line is bringing together an eclectic mix of more than 30 locally-sourced vendors and restaurants reflecting the character and culture of the LES including local favorites like the Ukranian Diner & Grocer Veselka, family-run German butcher shop and grocer Schaller & Weber established in 1937, and 1920s tea parlor and bakery turned hip dim sum eatery Nom Wah, among others. When complete, the 150,000-square foot Market Line will feature more than 100 food, art, and music vendors making it the largest market in New York City and one of the largest in the world. >>
