Cititour Review:
In Brooklyn's sea of restaurants there's a minnow that stands out in the crowd.

The Minnow, run by chef Aaron Bashy of
Le Bernadin fame, is easy to miss. It's located on the ground floor of a brownstone with a tiny pink sign. Daily specials are splashed on a blackboard out front along
with some cafe-style seating.
Inside, the restaurant is warm and friendly. Wooden floors and exposed brick add to the charm, while banquette seating along one
wall provides the comfort.

Seafood dominates the menu as you might expect. A batch of delightfully fresh oysters or some tuna tartare starts you off. The grilled salmon was cooked to perfection. The Surf & Turf, on the other hand, was not as good. Shrimps which provided the surf were small and slightly undercooked. The savings grace; a scoop of German-style potato salad topped with deep fried onions which was yummy.

The Minnow has all the amenities of a fine Manhattan restaurant. In fact, if I didn't know better, I'd have swear we were on
the Upper East Side.

$35-$40 per person. Good service.
Kids OK.
