Details:

The team behind gastropubs Bua and Wilfie & Nell have opened The Spaniard in the West Village. Inspired by iconic New York institutions like Keens, P.J. Clarke’s and Old Town Bar, the space included a horseshoe bar that divides the space in two: a bright and airy front bar, dotted with communal tables, while a more intimate back room offers luxurious leather booths. Barman Mikey McFerran's whiskey list features over 100 selections; Scotch comprises half the menu, and the cocktail menu will feature an entire selection of whiskey cocktails in addition to the house specialties. Chef PJ Calapa's bar menu includes retooled classics like steak tartare with housemade brown bread crackers and a spin on the quintessential Oysters Rockefeller. See more
