Queer eye star Antoni Porowski is reviving The Village Den with a bright and airy, casual all-day restaurant in the West Village. Porowski and his partners, Eric Marx and Lisle Richards, are turning their attention to nutritious comfort foods. They include market-driven dishes like the Greenwich Breakfast Bowl with poached eggs, sweet potato hash, grilled avocado and pickled shallot. Reimagined TV Dinners offer a choice of protein, including macadamia-crusted fish sticks, along with sides like maple parsnip mash. Salads and rice bowls are also on the menu. Thai Chicken comes with a coconut peanut sauce, purple cabbage and cilantro over lemongrass brown rice. Other healthy options include The Big Porowski, a smoothie made with Greek yogurt, banana, dates and lime zest. A portion of The Village Den's proceeds are also being donated to promote healthier eating habits in the community.
