Sunset Park has an up and coming food scene thanks in large part to the arrival of Industry City. Now it is expanding beyond IC with places like Twist, a seafood restaurant on 3rd Avenue and 42nd Street. Let’s just say it takes some gumption opening right next door to a biker club. But Twist should not be ignored. When you first enter, you will notice a modern, stylish space with murals of lobsters and crabs adorning the walls. There are heavy wooden tables and a bar in the back that looks onto an open kitchen. Service was polite and friendly. The big thing here are seafood boils (shrimp, lobster, clams, mussels, king crab and snow crab) with a choice of sauce and two sides, including corn on the cob & potatoes, and garlic bread. We were impressed with the quality of the seafood we tried, including a whole lobster at a promotional price of $19.95 and spicy deep-fried shrimp. Seafood combinations are also offered along with calamari, fried fish and two types of chicken wings. A selection of beer, wine and cocktails are also available.
