If you are in the mood to slurp, Udon Lab in K-Town is a wise choice. There are oversized bowls of udon and interesting appetizers to choose from. Starters include skewers of grilled squid, sugar snap peas with sesame cream, chicken karaage and crinkle cut fries with spicy cod roe mayo. Udon bowls range from Dandan Udon with spicy ground pork and Vongole Udon with Manila clams to Pulled Pork Udon with soft boiled egg. There are also vegetarian options. The thick rice noodles have a nice chew with a bit of a snap when slurped. The modern space features reclaimed wood with pictures of noodles on the wall. A bowl of crispy udon noodles gets you started.
